On October 12th, join our session at EWRC to find out how the revamp of historic urban areas can boost the achievement of climate neutrality in Europe
How can we leverage culture-led urban regeneration using climate action as an asset?
How can we tap into our cities’ material and immaterial heritage to foster and sustain circular practices?
How can we design systemic policies for climate neutrality that create collective engagement and collaborative exploration of change?
On October 12th, during the European Week of Regions and Cities, join us from 9.30 to 11.00 to talk about the green transition with other relevant stakeholders.
Together with our sister projects CENTRINNO and T-Factor, we are organizing the session Achieving Climate Neutral Cities through the Regeneration of Historic Urban Areas to answer these questions. A fresh new policy report issued by the three Horizon-funded projects will be presented. Moreover, we will exchange insights related to climate and circular economy policies taking inspiration from Milan, Dortmund and Lisbon.
Participants will have the chance to discuss, exchange experiences, and analyse challenges in three thematic tables:
- Historic Urban Areas’ Regeneration towards Climate Neutrality
- Leveraging on Cultural Heritage towards Circular Cities
- Innovative Policy-Making and Governance Models for Climate neutral and Circular Cities.
The discussion will be followed by the World Café session for an interactive peer-learning exercise.
The event is co-organised with the European Research Executive Agency and DG-RTD.
