A new video highlights how the local HUBs are fostering change
After 4 exciting years, the EU-funded HUB-IN project is putting plans into action.
Our 8 pilot cities are implementing different initiatives to transform their Historic Urban Areas (HUA) into HUBs of innovation and entrepreneurship. By promoting artistic projects, preserving their unique cultural heritage, and fostering the development of original, sustainable businesses, our cities strive to become vibrant places to live in!
To celebrate this pivotal stage of the project, we produced a new video showcasing the activities that each HUB is carrying out.
For instance, Genova is regenerating the historic Caruggi area through street art, while Belfast is supporting the development of new technologies that can contribute to preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage of the Maritime Mile. Brașov is involving students in the regeneration of the historic centre, and Grand Angoulême is creating a community of creators aimed at rediscovering the local heritage. Nicosia is organising guided tours to connect both residents and tourists with the local culture, whereas Utrecht is strengthening an art district home to several artists and entrepreneurs of the creative sector. Slovenska Bistrica is setting up a HUB for businesses and artists, and Lisbon is encouraging talent development and entrepreneurship.
Check the Action Plans to dig into the activities that each HUB needs to implement.
