The experience of HUB-IN at the second edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival
The New European Bauhaus Festival 2024 in Brussels was a great event that brought together thousands of participants – both onsite and virtually – over five days. With over 250 artists, exhibitors, speakers, and policymakers engaging in interactive panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and artistic performances.
If the European Green Deal has a soul, then it is the New European Bauhaus which has led to an explosion of creativity across our Union. – Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission
The HUB-IN stand: a sensory journey
The HUB-IN stand piqued the curiosity of visitors from all over Europe. People stopped by to learn more about the project and the actions being undertaken by the pilot cities. Our stand offered a sensory journey, engaging visitors in activities that stimulated all five senses. Visitors guessed which pilot city each item belonged to: they smelled red pepper from Braşov and coffee from Nicosia, tasted butter biscuits from Utrecht and candies from Belfast, listened to Slovenian songs and the Portuguese fado, touched denim fabric from Genova, and admired the replication of traditional façades.
The event provided an opportunity to attend inspiring panels, witness amazing performances, and discover other EU-funded projects aimed at enhancing the beauty, sustainability, and resilience of Europe.
What a great, stimulating experience! We look forward to the next edition!
