43 students will develop and taste their solutions for a more sustainable future
Last October, the Palácio Galveias in Lisbon hosted the official launch of the Zero Waste Programme, an innovative initiative dedicated to finding solutions to food waste. The event brought together 43 students from different fields such as Nutritional Sciences, Product and Service Design, Food Engineering and Agronomic Engineering for a day of creativity and collaboration.
Throughout the day, the participants, accompanied by specialist mentors, worked together to develop solutions to three key challenges: food waste education and awareness, food waste reuse and sustainable packaging.
Over the next two months, these young people will have the opportunity to develop and test their ideas with the support of the city’s prototyping facilities, FabLab and BioLab Lisboa. This programme aims to promote innovation and sustainability, relying on young talent to create a future with less food waste.
