The nine projects that will enhance the Colina do Castelo neighborhood
On a sunny day in mid-July, the Mouraria Creative Hub hosted the exciting HUB-IN Experience. This event marked the official launch of the nine innovative projects developed under the HUB-IN Lisbon Acceleration Programme.
The HUB-IN Experience was a journey through innovation and creativity. Community members, mentors, and stakeholders were eager to engage with the entrepreneurs and their pioneering projects.
Let’s have a closer look at them:
- Comvidarte blends art with life stories in artistic co-creation spaces.
- UnSpecial Tour aims to create accessible tours for the visually impaired.
- Conversational Kiosks foster the power of social innovation through unexpected conversations.
- A Colina do Bem Estar strives to enhance well-being in Colina do Castelo.
- CasAmiga promotes inclusive hospitality by offering temporary housing for the relatives of hospital patients.
- Beam Me Up To has developed the “City in a Box” concept to encourage sensory exploration of the Mouraria area.
- Around the Neighbourhood aims to revive and preserve the local tales of the Colina do Castelo.
- Play (the) Ground redefines community art through intergenerational and multicultural graffiti.
- Intermodal is an application designed to navigate the labyrinthine streets of Colina do Castelo, aiming to tackle mobility and accessibility challenges.
The final party celebrated Comvidarte, the project awarded with the Lisboa E-nova prize, and the general spirit of innovation and community that the HUB-IN program fosters. It was an inspiring glimpse into the future of the Colina do Castelo, driven by the passion and commitment of its new wave of entrepreneurs.
