HUB-IN is about exploring (through both research and practical implementation of ideas across 8 pilot cities) different ways of approaching the regeneration of historic urban areas through innovation and entrepreneurship. Two years into the project, we want to share our learnings with other like-minded cities and towns, but we also know that they bring with them their own knowledge and challenges. With this in mind, we see the HUB-IN Alliance as a “two-way” street, where participating towns and cities can benefit from the experiences of the HUB-IN project, while also bringing their own knowledge and challenges into the discussion.
The HUB-IN Alliance will be a selection of at least 20 historic urban areas to follow the project and potentially develop their own hubs of innovation. They will have access to the project’s network, as well as exclusive content and support for their projects.
On November 30th, participants from over 11 countries and 18 different towns and cities joined the first webinar on the Alliance to discuss the themes that would be pertinent to them, regardless of their location. Some of the challenges they face include:
The participants were also given the opportunity to express what they would like to get from joining the Alliance: overall, learning from good practice, networking opportunities and a chance to find out more about the tools and guides developed through the project were high on the list. All of these will shape a programme engagement as the Alliance develops.

The next introductory webinar will take place on January 18th, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. To join us, please fill out an expression of interest here and we will send you the registration link!
