From Waterford in Ireland to Seville in Spain, new municipalities and organisations are joining the HUB-IN Alliance
The HUB-IN Alliance is growing! We are happy to welcome twelve new Early Joiners, municipalities and organisations of varying sizes located throughout Europe:
- Birmingham (UK)
- Exeter (UK)
- Fyli (Greece)
- Halandri (Greece)
- Kampen (Netherlands)
- Mostar (Bosnia)
- Palmela (Portugal)
- Paris (France)
- Porto (Portugal)
- Seville (Spain)
- Ventspils (Latvia)
- Waterford (Ireland)
Heritage Europe welcomed eight of the twelve Early Joiners during the inaugural webinar meeting held on 20 June. This event was a great opportunity for Alliance partners and members to meet and start to exchange ideas and experiences about their historic urban areas (HUA), related challenges and common themes.
A great opportunity to learn, share and network
Joining the Alliance gives participants opportunities to network, learn from and work with other cities and stakeholders involved in the HUB-IN project to increase and intensify the transfer of knowledge. The Alliance also enables members to gain valuable insights into boosting regeneration, innovation and entrepreneurship in their HUA, whilst working together for a piloted approach to using cultural heritage to gain a competitive advantage in attracting investment, businesses and skilled workers.
The Alliance and the learning programme will support the municipalities and organisations in their individual journeys of HUA regeneration with a huge wealth of accumulated knowledge and experience.
