The document “Towards Sustainable Innovation in the centre of Nicosia – A tale of 2 projects“  has been prepared by the Cyprus Energy Agency for the dissemination of the activities implemented within the framework of the Sustainable Historic City Districts (SUSHI) project, which was completed in 2020, and of the Hubs of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the Transformation of Historic Urban Areas (HUB-IN) project, which is currently funded by the Horizon 2020 programme.

The concept of Sustainable Innovation provides a new conceptual lens through which to view the work of these 2 projects focusing on the Historic Urban Area of Nicosia, their interconnection, and their interdependence. Sustainable Innovation can assist citizens in managing their lifestyles by enabling them to live happier lives in ways that support sustainable development.
