Students have transformed the Crouzet courtyard into a welcoming space for the community
Students from the Slovenska Bistrica secondary school recently took on an exciting challenge: revitalising the courtyard of the Crouzet to create a more inviting and functional space for all.
Guided by their teachers and mentors, the students embarked on a journey of creativity and problem-solving, working from September to November 2024 to bring their vision to life. Their mission? To enhance the co-working space and inner courtyard of Crouzet HUB with innovative, practical, and aesthetic improvements.
To revitalise the space, students designed and implemented five initiatives, each aimed at improving the courtyard’s usability and aesthetic appeal. From upcycled furniture to recreational additions, their interventions now provide opportunities for relaxation, social interaction, and outdoor activities.
What’s New in the Courtyard?
- Seating areas: new benches on the sunniest side of the courtyard invite visitors to relax, chat, or enjoy a break.
- Outdoor games: bocce and badminton sets provide opportunities for active recreation
- Photo corner: a dedicated photo spot to capture moments with friends.
- Artistic enhancements: colourful murals to enhance the space.
- Green spaces: fresh greenery decorates offices, thus making indoor spaces more welcoming.
Now open to all residents and visitors, the transformed courtyard at Crouzet HUB serves as a welcoming space for relaxation, collaboration, and social interaction. Watch the video here!
