This two-month initiative aims to support the growth of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) by encouraging innovation, enhancing entrepreneurial skills, and creating new opportunities for sustainable business development. The main focus is preserving and promoting Nicosia’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

This successful initiative is now in the implementation phase, with participants eager to start shaping their business ideas into impactful projects. Through mentorship, training, and expert guidance, the accelerator equips participants with the necessary tools to develop their ideas and start-ups, maximizing their economic and social impact.
Participants in the programme will benefit from a series of educational seminars on key business topics such as marketing, project management, and human resources. In addition, they will receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals and have the opportunity to network with industry leaders and other creative entrepreneurs. They will develop their business plans, acquire financial management skills, and prepare to pitch their business ideas for potential funding.
Finally, participants will have the chance to present their business ideas and compete for prizes that will support the further development of their enterprises.
Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship at the heart of Nicosia
The cultural and creative industries are recognised by the European Union as a key economic pillar, employing around 8 million people across Europe and contributing significantly to the continent’s added value. The Nicosia HUB-IN Accelerator aims to bolster these industries locally by promoting innovation and entrepreneurship at the heart of Nicosia.
The project is implemented in collaboration with the University of Cyprus, CYENS Centre of Excellence, and the Cyprus Energy Agency. These partnerships bring together academic expertise, innovative research, and sustainable practices to support the development of Nicosia’s creative and cultural economy.
The Nicosia HUB-IN Accelerator represents a significant milestone for Cyprus as it marks the first time an accelerator focused on CCIs has been implemented in the country. This initiative creates a powerful platform for innovation and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector, contributing to the future growth and sustainability of the city.
